HOW TO PLAY:
1.Setup: Shuffle the deck of UNO!™ cards and deal 7 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards facedown to form the draw pile. Flip the top card of the draw pile face-up to start the discard pile.
2.Starting Player: The player to the left of the dealer goes first. Play proceeds clockwise.
3.Matching Cards: On your turn, you must match a card from your hand to the card on top of the discard pile. You can match by color, number, or special action.
4.Special Cards: UNO!™ cards have special actions. For example, a Skip card skips the next player's turn, a Reverse card reverses the direction of play, and a Draw Two card makes the next player draw two cards and skip their turn. If you have a matching special card, you can play it even if you don't have a matching color or number.
5.Drawing Cards: If you can't play a card, you must draw one card from the draw pile. If that card can be played, you can play it immediately. Otherwise, play moves to the next player.
6.Calling UNO!™: When you have one card left, you must announce "UNO!" to alert other players. If you forget and another player catches you, you must draw two cards as a penalty.
7.Winning: The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round. The other players count the total value of the cards remaining in their hands and score points accordingly. The game continues until one player reaches predetermined score (usually 500 points)
8.Scoring: After each round, the winner scores points based on the cards remaining in other players' hands. Number cards are worth their face value (e.g., a 5 card is worth 5 points), while special cards (Skip, Reverse, Draw Two) are worth 20 points each, and Wild and Wild Draw Four cards are worth 50 points each. The points are tallied and added to the winner's score.
9.New Round: After scoring, a new round begins. The player to the left of the previous dealer becomes the new dealer, and the cards are shuffled and dealt again. Play continues until one player reaches the predetermined score (usually 500 points) to win the game.
10.Optional Rules: UNO!™ has a few optional rules that you can choose to include or exclude depending on your preference. Some common optional rules include:
Stacking: If a player plays a Draw Two or Wild Draw Four card, the next player can play the same card to "stack" the penalty on the following player. For example, if the first player plays a Draw Two, the next player can play another Draw Two, forcing the third player to draw four cards and skip their turn.
Jump-In: If a player has the exact card that is played and play it out of turn. This can be done even if it's not the player's turn and helps to prevent other players from winning.
