ReadID Me

ReadID Me is a demo app designed to read and verify the NFC chip embedded in electronic passports, national identity cards, and other ICAO-compliant identity documents. Using OCR, the app scans the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) to access the embedded NFC chip, retrieving biographical and biometric details about the document holder, as well as document-specific information. It also supports electronic driving licenses (eDL), with current compatibility limited to Dutch driving licenses from November 2014 onward. The app performs security checks like Active Authentication, Chip Authentication, and Passive Authentication, providing detailed results.
