For Riders: Download the Whoosh App: Start by downloading the Whoosh app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Alternatively, you can visit the Whoosh website to learn more about the service and sign up. Create an Account or Log In: If you're a new user, sign up by entering your email address, creating a password, and providing your payment information. If you already have an account, simply log in with your credentials to access your saved preferences and ride history. Locate a Scooter: Open the app to see a map of nearby Whoosh scooters available for rent. The app shows you real-time availability, so you can easily find a scooter close to your location. You can zoom in on the map to find scooters in your immediate area and select the one that’s available. Unlock the Scooter: When you’ve found a nearby scooter, tap Unlock in the app to begin your ride. You’ll be asked to scan the QR code on the scooter to verify its availability. After scanning the code, the app will unlock the scooter, allowing you to start riding. Check Scooter Condition: Before riding, make sure to check the scooter’s condition. Ensure that the brakes work, the battery is charged, and that the scooter is in good condition for riding. If you notice any issues, you can report them in the app to prevent future riders from using a faulty scooter. Ride Your Scooter: After unlocking the scooter, enjoy a smooth, eco-friendly ride around the city. Whoosh scooters are perfect for short trips like commuting to work, running errands, or just exploring the area. Ride safely and follow all local traffic rules. Wear a helmet if available and keep an eye out for pedestrians and other vehicles. Track Your Ride: The Whoosh app allows you to track your ride in real-time, showing you the distance traveled, time spent, and the cost of your ride. You can also see your carbon savings as part of Whoosh’s eco-friendly initiative. End Your Ride: Once you’ve reached your destination, find a designated parking area for the scooter. This could be a bike rack, scooter docking station, or another spot approved by Whoosh. Tap End Ride in the app to lock the scooter and stop your ride. Payment and Receipt: After ending your ride, the app will calculate the total charge based on the time and distance traveled. You’ll be prompted to pay through your chosen payment method, and the receipt will be sent directly to your email or available in the app for easy reference. Rate Your Ride: You can leave a rating for your scooter and the overall ride experience. This helps Whoosh improve the service and maintain the fleet of scooters. Earn Rewards: If Whoosh has a loyalty program or promotional offers, you can earn credits or discounts for frequent use, referrals, or participating in special events.
