Webster Bank Mobile App User Guide
Welcome to the Webster Bank Mobile App! This guide will help you navigate the app and make the most of its features, allowing you to manage your banking needs securely and conveniently from your mobile device.
Getting Started
Download and Install: Download the Webster Bank Mobile App from your device’s app store.
Enroll in Personal Online Banking: If you haven’t already enrolled, select “Enroll now” on the login screen and follow the instructions to create your account.
Sign In: Once enrolled, log in using your username and password.
Home Screen Overview
After logging in, the home screen will display an overview of your account information. From here, you can access various features:
Account Balances: View real-time balances of all your accounts.
Transaction History: Review recent transactions to keep track of your spending and deposits.
Quick Links: Access commonly used features like mobile check deposit, money transfers, and bill pay.
Depositing Checks
Tap on “Deposit Checks”: This option is available on the home screen or under the “More” menu.
Select the Account: Choose the account where you want the check to be deposited.
Enter the Amount: Type in the amount written on the check.
Take Photos of the Check: Use your device’s camera to capture images of the front and back of the check. Ensure the images are clear and all details are visible.
Submit the Deposit: Review the details and submit your deposit. You will receive a confirmation once the deposit is processed.
Viewing Instant Balance
Enable Instant Balance: Go to the settings within the app and turn on the “Instant Balance” feature.
View Balances Without Logging In: From the login screen, tap “Instant Balance” to see your account balances without fully logging in.
Transferring Money Between Accounts
Tap on “Transfer”: Access the transfer feature from the home screen or menu.
Choose the Accounts: Select the account you want to transfer money from and the account you want to transfer money to.
Enter the Amount: Specify the amount you wish to transfer.
Review and Confirm: Double-check the transfer details and confirm the transaction.
Paying Bills
Tap on “Bill Pay”: Access bill pay from the home screen or menu.
Add a Payee: If you need to add a new payee, tap “Add Payee” and enter the required information.
Schedule Payments: Select the payee, enter the payment amount, and choose the payment date.
Review and Confirm: Ensure all details are correct, then confirm the payment.
Using Zelle
Tap on “Zelle”: Access Zelle from the home screen or menu.
Send Money: Select a contact, enter the amount, and choose the account from which to send the money.
Request Money: Request funds by selecting a contact, entering the amount, and sending the request.
Receive Money: Monitor incoming payments through Zelle, which will be deposited directly into your selected account.
Viewing Transaction History
Tap on the Account: From the home screen, select the account you want to view.
Scroll Through Transactions: View detailed information on recent transactions, including dates, amounts, and descriptions.
Finding ATM and Branch Locations
Tap on “Locations”: Find this option on the home screen or under the menu.
Use the Locator: The app will show nearby Webster Bank ATMs and branch locations based on your current location or the location you enter.
Logging Out
To log out, tap on your profile icon or the settings menu, and select Log Out. It’s important to log out after each session to keep your account secure.
