Download and Install: Download the VaxiCode app from the App Store for iPhone or the Google Play Store for Android. Install the app on your smartphone and open it to begin adding your vaccination certificates. Add Your Vaccination Certificate: To add your vaccination certificate, scan the QR code provided by the Quebec government using your smartphone’s camera. You can scan the code from a printed document or directly from an email or other digital source. View Your Vaccination Status: Once the QR code is scanned, VaxiCode will verify it against the official database and display your vaccination status. The app will indicate whether you are fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated, or unvaccinated. Store Multiple Certificates: If you need to store certificates for other family members, you can add multiple QR codes within the app. Each certificate will be stored separately, and you can switch between them as needed. Present Your Certificate: When entering places that require proof of vaccination, simply open the VaxiCode app and select the appropriate certificate. Show the QR code on your screen to the authorized personnel for scanning and verification. Privacy and Security: VaxiCode is designed to protect your privacy. Your vaccination information is stored securely on your device, and the app does not share your data with third parties. Only the QR code and vaccination status are visible to those scanning the code. Update Your Certificate: If your vaccination status changes (e.g., you receive an additional dose), you can update your certificate by scanning the new QR code provided by the Quebec government. The app will automatically update your status. Check Expiry Dates: VaxiCode may display the expiry date of your vaccination certificate, depending on the public health guidelines. Ensure your certificate is valid when you need to present it. Troubleshoot Issues: If you encounter any issues with scanning or displaying your QR code, check the app's help section for troubleshooting tips or contact the Quebec government’s support services.
