Welcome to the State Farm® mobile app! This guide will walk you through how to use the app to manage your insurance, file claims, request roadside assistance, and more, ensuring you have all the tools you need right at your fingertips.
Getting Started
Download and Install: Download the State Farm® mobile app from your device’s app store.
Sign In or Register: Enter your login credentials to sign in. If you’re new to State Farm®, select “Register” to create your account and follow the on-screen instructions.
Home Screen Overview
Once logged in, the home screen provides quick access to your policies, payments, claims, and other features:
Policies: View and manage your insurance policies.
Payments: Pay your insurance bills securely.
Claims: File and track the status of your claims.
Roadside Assistance: Request help in case of a roadside emergency.
Investment Products: Access details about your investment products.
Notifications: Receive personalized reminders and updates.
Managing Your Insurance Policies
Tap on “Policies”: Access this from the home screen.
View Policy Details: Select a policy to view its coverage details, documents, and ID cards.
Add ID Card to G-Pay: For auto insurance, you can add your ID card to Google Pay for easy access.
Making a Payment
Tap on “Payments”: This option is available on the home screen.
Select Payment Method: Choose from available methods, including Google Pay.
Enter Payment Amount: Confirm the amount and payment details.
Submit Payment: Review and confirm to complete your payment.
Filing and Tracking a Claim
Tap on “Claims”: Access the claims section from the home screen.
File a Claim: Choose the type of claim (vehicle, property, or vehicle glass) and follow the prompts to provide the necessary details.
Upload Photos: Use your device’s camera to take and upload photos related to the claim.
Track Claim Status: Once filed, you can track the progress of your claim in real-time from this section.
Requesting Roadside Assistance
Tap on “Roadside Assistance”: This option is available on the home screen or under the “More” menu.
Select the Service Needed: Choose the type of help you need, such as tire changes, battery jump-starts, or vehicle towing.
Confirm Your Location: Ensure your location is accurate, and then submit your request.
Assistance Confirmation: You’ll receive confirmation once help is on the way, along with estimated arrival time.
Viewing Your Investment Products
Tap on “Investment Products”: Access this from the home screen or “More” menu.
View Account Details: See an overview of your investment products, including balances and performance.
Receiving Notifications
Personalized Alerts: When you log in, you’ll receive reminders and updates specific to your policies and claims.
Managing Notifications: You can customize the types of notifications you receive by going to the settings menu within the app.
Accessing FAQs and Support
Tap on “Help” or “FAQs”: Find this option in the “More” menu.
Search for Answers: Browse through frequently asked questions or use the search function to find specific information.
Contact Support: If you need further assistance, contact support directly through the app.
Logging Out
To log out, tap on your profile icon or the settings menu, and select Log Out. It’s recommended to log out after each session to maintain your account security.
