HOW TO PLAY:
Download and Install:
Download the SMS Backup & Restore app from the Google Play Store. Install the app and open it to start backing up and restoring your SMS messages and call logs.
Create a Backup:
To back up your SMS messages and call logs, tap the "Backup" button on the main screen. The app will ask if you want to back up your SMS, call logs, or both. Select the desired options, and choose the storage location:
Local Storage: Store the backup on your device.
Cloud Storage: Save the backup to Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. You will need to log in to your cloud account to enable cloud backups.
Schedule Regular Backups (Optional):
Set up automatic backups to ensure that your SMS messages and call logs are regularly backed up. In the app’s settings, choose the frequency of backups (daily, weekly, etc.), and select the location where you want the backups to be saved.
Restore from a Backup:
To restore your SMS messages or call logs, tap the "Restore" button. The app will display a list of available backups from your local storage or cloud account. Select the backup you want to restore, and choose whether to restore SMS, call logs, or both. The app will then apply the selected backup to your device.
Transfer Data to a New Device:
SMS Backup & Restore also allows users to transfer their SMS and call log data to a new device. To do this, create a backup on your old device and upload it to your preferred cloud storage. Install SMS Backup & Restore on your new device, log in to your cloud account, and restore the backup to transfer your data.
View and Manage Backups:
You can view, manage, and delete old backups by navigating to the "Backups" section of the app. This helps you free up storage space by removing unnecessary backups.
Enable Notifications (Optional):
Turn on notifications to receive alerts when backups are successfully created or if there is an issue with the backup process. This feature ensures that you are always aware of the status of your backups.
Custom Backup Options:
In the settings menu, you can customize the backup process by selecting specific conversations to back up, excluding certain messages, or setting a maximum number of backups to keep.
Encryption (Optional):
For added security, enable encryption for your backups. This ensures that your backed-up data is protected with a password, making it accessible only to you.
