Similo: The Card Game

Choose a Theme: Start by selecting a theme deck (e.g., animals, historical figures, etc.). Each deck contains a set of 12 cards featuring different characters, creatures, or objects. Select the Secret Card: The storyteller randomly selects one card from the deck to keep hidden from the other players. This card is the “secret card” that the players will try to guess. Give Clues: On each round, the storyteller gives a clue to help the group guess the secret card. The clue can be a characteristic of the card (e.g., "This card is something that flies" for birds), but it must relate to the group of cards currently on the table. For example, the storyteller may choose to highlight cards that are similar or different in some way to the secret card. Make a Guess: After each clue, players have the chance to discuss and remove cards they think are not related to the secret card. Based on the clue, they’ll eliminate cards from the table. Repeat the Process: After each round of guesses, the storyteller gives another clue. The group continues to narrow down the possibilities until they are confident in their guess. Guess the Secret Card: Once the group has discussed the clues and eliminated the wrong cards, they try to guess the secret card. If they guess it correctly, they win the round! Game Variants: In addition to the standard rules, Similo has a cooperative version where everyone works together to guess the secret card, making it a great way to foster teamwork and communication.
