HOW TO PLAY:
Download and Install:
Download the Screen Mirroring for Roku Cast app from the Google Play Store for Android or the App Store for iPhone. Install the app on your device and open it to start casting.
Connect to Your Roku Device:
Ensure that both your Roku device and your smartphone or tablet are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The app will automatically detect any available Roku devices. Select your Roku TV or Roku streaming device from the list to establish the connection.
Start Screen Mirroring:
To mirror your entire screen, tap the "Screen Mirroring" option. Your phone or tablet’s display will now appear on the TV screen, allowing you to browse, play videos, or showcase apps in real time.
Cast Specific Media:
If you prefer to cast individual photos, videos, or music files rather than mirror the entire screen, select the "Media" option in the app. Choose the media you want to cast, and it will play on your Roku TV without interrupting other activities on your phone.
Control Playback:
While your media is casting, you can use your smartphone as a remote control. Adjust the volume, pause, play, rewind, or fast-forward the content directly from the app.
Cast from Online Sources (Optional):
The app also allows you to browse and stream online videos from popular websites like YouTube, Vimeo, and more. Open the in-app browser, find the video you want to cast, and tap the cast button to send it to your Roku device.
Play Games or Apps on TV:
Screen Mirroring for Roku Cast supports live screen mirroring for games and apps, so you can play mobile games or demonstrate apps on a bigger screen. This is especially useful for group gaming or showing off new apps to an audience.
Adjust Screen Settings:
Customize your mirroring experience by adjusting the screen resolution and aspect ratio in the app’s settings. You can choose between various display options to ensure the mirrored content fits perfectly on your TV screen.
Stop Mirroring:
To stop the mirroring session, either close the app or tap the "Stop Mirroring" button within the app. Your TV will return to its normal display.
Troubleshooting:
If the app fails to connect to your Roku device, ensure that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and that the Roku device is up to date. Restart both your phone and Roku if necessary, and try reconnecting.
Stay Updated:
Regularly update the Screen Mirroring for Roku Cast app to ensure you have access to the latest features, performance enhancements, and improved compatibility with the newest versions of Roku software.
