my Sun Life (CA) App User Guide
Welcome to the my Sun Life (CA) app! This guide will help you navigate the app and make the most of its features, allowing you to manage your health benefits, investments, and retirement savings with ease and security.
Getting Started
Download and Install: Download the my Sun Life (CA) app from your device’s app store.
Sign In or Register:
If you’re a new user, tap “Register” and follow the prompts to create your account using your Sun Life sign-in ID and password.
If you already have an account, simply sign in with your credentials.
Home Screen Overview
Once logged in, the home screen provides quick access to all your benefits, insurance, and investment accounts. Here’s what you can do:
View Benefits and Coverage: Check your health and dental benefits, review coverage details, and access your Health Spending Account (HSA) and Personal Spending Account (PSA) balances.
Manage Investments: Monitor your group RRSP, savings plans, and personal investments. View balances, transaction history, and contributions.
Submit Claims: Easily submit medical and dental claims and track their status directly from the home screen.
Managing Health Benefits
Submit a Claim:
Tap on “Submit a Claim” from the home screen.
Choose the type of claim (medical, dental, etc.) and follow the prompts to enter the required information.
Upload any necessary documents by taking a photo or attaching existing files.
Submit your claim and check the status regularly.
View Coverage Information:
Access your benefits coverage details by selecting “My Benefits” on the home screen.
Review what your plan covers and your remaining balances for HSA and PSA.
Find a Health-Care Provider:
Use the “Find a Provider” tool to locate health-care professionals in your area, such as dentists, psychologists, and chiropractors.
Book appointments directly through the app if supported by the provider.
Managing Investments and Retirement Savings
Check Balances and Transactions:
Tap on “My Money” from the home screen to view your investment accounts.
Check the balances of your group RRSP, savings plans, mutual funds, and segregated funds.
Review your transaction history to track your investments over time.
Make Contributions:
Select the account you wish to contribute to, such as your RRSP or savings plan.
Follow the prompts to enter the contribution amount and submit.
View Investment Performance:
Monitor the performance of your workplace investment plans over time by accessing the relevant account details.

Use the Lumino provider search to find health-care professionals near you.
Look for providers offering virtual services and book appointments directly through the app.
Use the Drug Lookup Tool:
Access the Drug Lookup tool to find information on medications, including coverage details and cost-saving tips.
Explore Discounts and Offers:
Check for discounts and special offers on health-related services, such as mental health resources, eyewear, and fitness.
Receiving Notifications
Enable Push Notifications:
Go to the settings menu and enable push notifications to stay informed about claim status updates, account changes, and important reminders.
You’ll receive timely updates directly to your mobile device.
Getting Support
Contact Sun Life:
For assistance, tap on the “Support” or “Help” option in the app.
You can call Sun Life directly from the app, and your plan, policy, or contract details will be ready for the representative.
Connect with Your Advisor:
If you need financial advice, easily connect with your advisor through the app or find an advisor near you.
Logging Out
To log out, tap on your profile icon or the settings menu, and select Log Out. Make sure to log out after each session to keep your account secure.
