How to play:
- Pass three cards at the start of each hand to the indicated player left, right, across, or hold on the no-pass round.
- Follow suit if you can; if not, discard another suit and avoid playing hearts until hearts are broken.
- Avoid taking tricks that contain hearts or the Queen of Spades, as they add penalty points.
- Break hearts by playing a heart only after a heart has been discarded on a previous trick.
- Shoot the moon by capturing all hearts and the Queen of Spades to penalize opponents or reduce your own score, depending on settings.
- Win the match by keeping the lowest total when any player reaches the target score, commonly 100 points.
