How to Use the 8bit Painter App: Download and Install the App Start by downloading 8bit Painter from the Play Store. Once installed, open the app to begin creating pixel art. Create a New Project After launching the app, tap on New Project. You can choose from preset canvas sizes (such as 16x16, 32x32, or 64x64) or specify custom dimensions. You can also change the canvas size later while working on your project. Choose a Color Select colors from the Preset Color Palette or create and save up to 48 custom colors in the User Color Palette. Tap on the color you want to use, and it will be applied to your brush. Start Drawing Simply tap on the canvas to start placing pixels. Zoom in for detailed work by pinching the screen, or zoom out to view the entire canvas. You can use the Eraser Tool to remove pixels, or tap Undo to correct any mistakes. Convert Images to Pixel Art If you want to transform an image into pixel art, tap Import Image and select an image from your gallery. The app will automatically convert the image into pixel art, which you can then customize or adjust as needed. Export Your Artwork Once your pixel art is complete, tap Export to save your creation. You can choose from different sizes and export the file as a PNG. Transparent PNGs are supported, and you can also export the image with the canvas grid lines displayed if you prefer. Backup and Transfer Artwork To ensure your artwork is safe, you can export the artwork data to external storage (e.g., Google Drive or Dropbox). This allows you to transfer your projects to another device that has 8bit Painter installed or recover your work if you change devices. Remove Ads (Optional) If you want an ad-free experience, you can purchase the Ad Remover. Once bought, it can be restored even if you uninstall and reinstall the app later.
